Terms and conditions

The service

Corpus gives you an account, a place to add files and website pages, and a chat button you can paste onto your site. Visitors click that button and ask in ordinary language. Creating an account means you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.

Your account

You sign up with your name, email, a password, and your website name. Keep the password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in the account after you sign in. Visitors of your site do not get an account, and they do not agree to these terms by asking a question.

Materials you add

You may add only files, notes, and pages you have the right to use. That includes:

  • Text you wrote or are allowed to publish
  • Pages on a website you control

Do not upload someone else's private material, and do not point the chatbot at a site you do not operate. You choose which pages are saved. Corpus answers from what you saved, not from the rest of the web.

The button on your site

The floating script is how the button gets onto your pages. You decide where to paste it. The button stays in the corner until a visitor opens it. You can also share the full-page chat link. You are responsible for the pages that load the script.

Answers

Replies are written from your saved materials. They can be incomplete or wrong if the source is incomplete or wrong. The chatbot should say when it does not have a solid match. It must not be the only place a visitor can read a price, a date, or a policy that you need to state yourself.

Acceptable use

Do not use Corpus to:

  • Break the law
  • Send spam or attack another site
  • Pretend the chatbot is a person when a visitor asks whether it is one
  • Store payment card numbers or passwords inside the files you upload

We may suspend an account that does this, or that puts other people's private material into a chatbot.

Availability

We work to keep sign-in, your materials, and the chat button available. The service can be interrupted for fixes or failures. We do not promise uninterrupted uptime.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do. Continuing to use the account after an update means you accept the new terms. The privacy policy explains what we store.
